Pedagogy is commonly thought of today as the art or science of being a teacher. This modern interpretation can also be thought of as the art and science of being a teacher. What makes pedagogy an art? It is a personal creative expression of oneself. Yet pedagogy is more than an art. It is also a science because it relies on careful observations of (1) students' dispositions, (2) students' prior knowledge, and (3) students' responses to the activities and questions in which they are engaged.?
