Is it easier for individual to self-disclose in person or through computer-mediated communication? Why or why not? Support your answer with examples from the text.
What will be an ideal response?
Research shows that it is easier for people to self-disclose through CMC than in person. One reason for this is that during CMC, individuals are more aware of themselves and less aware of others. Another reason is because nonverbal cues are often lost in CMC, and it is more comfortable to share innermost feelings in text-only interactions than it is face to face.
