How do gastric juices influence digestion?

What will be an ideal response?

The innermost layer of the stomach contains goblet cells and gastric pits or ducts, which contain gastric glands that secrete a variety of critical digestive juices. Parietal cells, chief cells, and mucous neck cells in the stomach lining secrete other gastric juices and mucus. The function of gastric juices is to break down food particles to smaller units which are more readily absorbed into the bloodstream.
