What is a structure-function claim? Provide four examples

?Unlike health claims, which require food manufacturers to collect scientific evidence and petition the FDA, structure-function claims can be made without any FDA approval. Structure-function claims are statements that characterize the relationship between a nutrient or other substance in a food and its role in the body. The only criterion for a structure-function claim is that it must not mention a disease or symptom. Examples of structure-function claims include products that say, "promotes a healthy heart," "builds strong bones," "improves memory," and "slows aging."
