Explain an appeal to authority fallacy and give an example
What will be an ideal response?
An appeal to authority occurs when someone who is popular but not an expert persuades the audience to accept an idea or a product. An example would be Snoop Dogg playing golf with Lee Iacocca and he promotes the Chrysler 300 car. Although Snoop Dogg is not an authority on automobiles, he is used as a popular figure to promote the Chrysler product.
