What do you feel would be the best option for dressing R.L.'s wound? State your rationale

What will be an ideal response?

Because the wound bed is free of debris and necrotic tissue and there is moderate
drainage, foam dressings, alginate dressings, and foam cavity fillers would assist with maintaining
a moist environment, provide thermoregulation for the wound, provide absorbency for draining
wounds, minimize pain, and improve comfort level. Foam has a longer wear time (up to 7 days
between dressing changes depending on amount of draining); alginates require more frequent
dressing changes and a secondary dressing.
