Please explain the difference between rework and damage control.
What will be an ideal response?
Rework control is action taken to fix an output before it gets into the customers’ hands. This typically occurs after final inspection, but before the product is shipped to the customer. If the output cannot be reworked, it is either accepted as is, discarded, or sold for salvage. Damage control is action taken to minimize negative impacts on customers or other stakeholders due to faulty outputs after they have reached the customers. Warranties are a form of damage control and may include fixing a product, refunding the purchase price, or replacing the product with a new one.
