Explain why loads are typically not connected in series with one another

When loads are connected in series with each other they will split the voltage applied to both of them as a ratio of the amount of resistance each load has. Another problem is that what ever the amount of current is in one part of the circuit will be the same in the remainder of the circuit. For example of two similar motors are connected in series and 220 V is applied, each motor would receive 110 V and the amount of current passing through each motor would be the same. This would not be desirable for motors. It is acceptable for some heating elements.
