Describe the roles of the Federal Reserve governors other than the chairman.
What will be an ideal response?
They work in three major areas: operations, banking regulation, and monetary policy. Part of their role is operational, because they oversee the entire Fed system. The Board of Governors also must approve mergers and acquisitions of banks and determine how the Fed will regulate and supervise banks. Finally, they participate in monetary-policy decisions, which primarily occur through the Federal Open Market Committee.
