Explain which one of the copyediting process steps was skipped in this example: The Fictional City Times Herald published a feature story on worms in drinking water. The story ran on page one in two full columns and continued on page five, filling the page, complete with photos. Of course, the article caused a big stir in Fictional City, and the newspaper received several calls and letters to the editor. However, the letters were less about citizens being alarmed about the worms in their water and more about how confusing the article was. They were unclear about why this was happening and what they were to do about it in their homes.

What will be an ideal response?
