The key advantage of using paid media is in the control it offers; control over the
content of the message, how it is skewed to a particular audience and how it is
presented. Also, timing and placement is controllable. This is good for when the PR
practitioner wants to present the message to an audience that is otherwise difficult to
reach via other media (e.g. social media) or when the message presentation needs to
be precisely timed.
