Answer: Answer should include cerebral palsy causes permanent disorders of movement and positions. It is not progressive in nature (does not worsen over time) and can range from mild to severe. Muscular dystrophy (MD) is a group of diseases that weaken and progressively destroy muscle tissue. Children appear normal at birth but may begin to experience motor difficulties by ages two to six which increase with age. Some forms of MD can be fatal.
