What will be an ideal response?
Speakers must consider their relationship with the audience as well as the audience’s relationship with the issue and position. If the audience doesn’t know the speaker, the speaker must spend time building credibility, and if the audience doesn’t know much about the topic or is potentially hostile to the position, the speaker must work more carefully to establish the topic and position.
