Culture is a system of knowledge, beliefs, values, language, symbols, patterns of behavior, material objects, and institutions that are created, learned, shared, and contested by a group of people. Nature is what existed without deliberate human intervention or agency. The feeling is that culture is constructed; for example, gender roles have been shown not to be natural in any sense, but rather, constructions of culture. They differ from time to time and place to place more than they would if they were natural differences.
