Explain uncertainty reduction theory

What will be an ideal response?

Uncertainty reduction theory suggests that we interact with others that we are attracted to. We want to know about them in order to reduce our uncertainty about them by making inferences from observable information. Based on the theory, we desire to reduce uncertainty so that we can determine if the relationship is worth developing. Responses may also include a discussion of the entry, personal and
exit phases of relational development.
