What impact has public expectations had on an organization’s CSP stance and activities?

What will be an ideal response?

In the past, when businesses abided by the law and exercised fair and honest practices, they were considered to have integrity. However, this is no longer enough, as the public is aware of businesses’ obligation to society and expects them to have a strategy in place to fulfill this obligation. Corporations today do not have the luxury of waiting for government instructions; government can be slow to act and/or new legislation may not be effective. The public, therefore, expects firms to be active and proactive in responding to the needs of the community.
