Why is it permissible to use poems that are written above a child’s reading level?

What will be an ideal response?

Poetry is meant to be read aloud and to be repeated. Children often have listening vocabularies that contain many words they cannot yet read. Therefore, they will often be able to enjoy and benefit from listening to poems they cannot yet read independently. Poetry captures the rhythm of language.
