Describe why people should not make changes in their diet based on results of a single research study

Nutrition science is an active, changing, growing body of knowledge and scientific findings must be repeated. One study does not "prove" or "disprove" anything.Only when a finding has stood up to rigorous, repeated testing in several kinds of experiments performed by several different researchers is it finally considered confirmed. Even then, strictly speaking, science consists not of facts that are set in stone but of theories that can always be challenged and revised.
