Explain why ovarian cancer is difficult to detect early

What will be an ideal response?

Although not as common as uterine or breast cancer, ovarian cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system because it invades the body silently, with few warning signs or symptoms until it reaches an advanced stage (American Cancer Society, 2010). Because the ovary floats freely in the pelvic cavity, a tumor can grow undetected without producing many noticeable symptoms (i.e., there is little pressure on other organs).
