Why are college students particularly susceptible to factual distractions?

What will be an ideal response?

College students are often hampered by factual distractions because they are flooded
with facts in their classes. Factual distractions involve focusing on facts to the detriment of the
bigger picture. Students are often tempted to memorize lots of facts, thus neglecting to figure
out how they fit together to form key ideas.
