Ans: Answers to this question will vary but should include elements of the following: The breadth of what students need to learn has expanded exponentially with each decade. Changes in our nation’s society and increasing globalization have brought the need for more knowledge about and skills in multiculturalism. We can no longer afford to be insular but must prepare students for lives perhaps very different than the ones they lead.
