Based on the ideas of Willis and Schiller, explain how you might try to build the emotional intelligence and social competence of your students.

What will be an ideal response?

Willis and Schiller discussed improving three areas; student confidence, student self-control, and student communication. I would build confidence by finding new puzzles or projects that students could solve after being challenged. I would help build self-control by repeating class rules and explaining why they should be followed and the consequences of not following them. I would improve communication by giving all of the students opportunities to express themselves regularly.
