deceptive.
What will be an ideal response?
* Altruistic reasons stem from our desire to avoid hurting other people. For example, we might
tell someone we like what they're wearing even though we don't in order to avoid hurting their
feelings.
* Self-serving reasons are motivated because we either gain personally or to avoid a negative
consequence. If someone lies about cheating on an exam, they are protecting themselves from
possible negative consequences of getting caught cheating.
