Answers should address the fact that the primary difficulty for children with ADHD occurs in executive function which oversees tasks such as making plans, keeping track of time, keeping track of more than one thing at a time, integrating past knowledge for current decision making, evaluating ourselves and our work, knowing when to ask for help, and regulating our behaviors. ADHD "throws a blanket" over the executive function, dulling its ability to process information. Children with ADHD have difficulty then processing stimuli and deciding what should be attended to at any given time.
