What is self-fulfilling prophecy, and how is it related to self-esteem?
What will be an ideal response?
Self-fulfilling prophecy is the tendency to make a prediction, and then observe it
coming true because of your strong expectations. People with high self-esteem tend to
make positive predictions about themselves. People with low self-esteem tend to expect
the worst. These predictions are often reinforced, producing a positive or negative spiral
of self-esteem and prophecies.
