One of your students has broken out in a rash. After referring her to the doctor, you find out she has an unusual, contagious virus. How might you respond?
What will be an ideal response?
First, I would contact local and national health experts, such as the county health department and the CDC, and ask them for information and advice. I would immediately begin any procedures they recommended to stop the disease from spreading, such as sanitizing the room. I would prepare an information release for the parents, telling them what happened and what the risks are without jeopardizing the student’s privacy.
