Although the wheelchair may be the most classic example of assistive technology to support mobility, many different mobility-based assistive technology devices exist.

What will be an ideal response?

Outside of a wheelchair, other mobility based assistive technology devices include a gait trainer, a standing device, and a belt. Gait trainers provide support for individuals with walking and are used prior to an individual being able to bear their own weight. Gait trainers can help individuals learn to walk while providing support and stability. Standers assist individuals with standing upright and support those who cannot bear their own weight; standers allow individuals to more independently participate in activities. Finally a belt can help support students with mobility and/or balance to provide stability or prevent falling.
