Mind wandering is both a positive and negative influence on concentration and learning. Discuss both influences and describe their effect on learning.

What will be an ideal response?

Mind wandering is something everyone does, and it is both a positive and negative influence on concentration and learning. When you are reading or studying, and you are distracted by thinking about something related to what you are learning, then this distraction is a positive influence on your learning. It helps you apply what you are learning to what you already know, and it is a good use of your learning time. However, if you become distracted about something unrelated to what you are learning, like an upcoming party or a phone call you need to make, then this distraction is a negative influence on your learning and wastes your time. It isn't helping you learn.
