Explain the three essential views of the current and replacement information systems

What will be an ideal response?

• Process. The sequence of data movement and handling operations within the system.
• Logic and timing. The rules by which data are transformed and manipulated and an indication of what triggers data transformation. One of the ways to describe the logic and timing of what goes on inside the process boxes is data flow diagrams.
• Data. The inherent structure of data independent of how or when they are processed. The process view of a system can be represented by data flow diagrams, shows the rules that govern the structure and integrity of data and concentrates on what data about business entities and relationships among these entities must be accessed within the system.
