Taylor early 1900’s, introduced the principles of scientific management, In 1922, a young engineer named Walter Shewhart became the first pioneer of the quality movement, In 1940, Dr. Deming introduced statistical quality control, The work of Deming was supported by Joseph M. Juran. Both Deming and Juran are credited with being the great intelligences behind the quality revolution, In 1949 Kaoru Ishikawa and Genichi Taguchi embraced the principles of quality control, In 1979, Phillip Crosby translated this terminology into language mere mortals could understand.
