A nonmaterial culture is made up of intangibles such as language, customs, values, norms, principles, scientific formulae, etc., i.e., it exists at the level of ideas, beliefs, and mental imagery. While these ideas and thoughts may be written down and also have practical implications, they are generally not concrete. However, these ideas are as equally important as tangible objects in any given culture.
