Answer: M: Model the genre—students learn about the genre's story structure by listening to and reading stories and talking about their story structure. G: Group interactive writing—using the story genre structure as a model, students create a group constructed story. Draw a picture to depict the story structure.

Help students create a group-constructed story graphic organizer or picture depicting the story elements.
Have students act out or dramatize all or parts of the story.
Have students draw pictures to go with the story.
Have students create another story that follows the story genre structure.
Have students create drawings before writing their stories.
Have students write stories before creating drawings.
