Explain how rhodopsin is involved in vision


?Rhodopsin is comprised of a protein called opsin, and a cofactor, retinal. When light strikes the retina, the opsin is released, and retinal changes conformation from cis to trans, which generates an electrical impulse that travels to the brain.
