Describe how differences in power in personal relationships outside of the workplace are unique from differences in power within workplace relationships.
What will be an ideal response?
Outside of the workplace, power is much less formal and distinct than the type of power wielded by a superior in a workplace. Additionally, outside of the workplace, talk is more recreational and focused on relational goals such as intimacy development and support, so developing power through communication is not done in a task-oriented way. In the workplace, on the other hand, it would just be expected that a subordinate would perform a task when instructed to do so by a superior, generally without question.
