Describe the dietary factors that regulate hemostasis


Under normal circumstances, hemostasis is tightly regulated, and dietary factors play a central role in hemostasis. Vitamin K; dietary fats; antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium; pro-oxidants such as iron and copper; and cell signals such as the presence of calcium ions are all integral to normal clotting, bleeding, and blood flow.
