Program evaluation is defined as an objective, systematic process of gathering information about a program, or set of activities, which can then be used to ascertain a school’s and professional's ability to achieve the determined outcomes and suggest modifications where needed. To ensure program quality and effectiveness, schools and professionals should ask the following types of questions: (1) Do the methods, materials, and delivery represent current recommended practices? (2) Are we implementing our espoused program accurately and consistently? (3) Are we able to verify the effectiveness of our program? (4) Do we have a system in place to adequately deliver the services we claim are needed and can we determine its effectiveness? (5) Are we moving towards accomplishing our program outcomes and goals? and (6) Are the goals, methods, materials, and overall service delivery in accordance to what the child and family needs?
