Define gender bias as it occurs in the classroom. Suggest one reason that teachers may unwittingly engage in this behavior
What will be an ideal response?
In the classroom, gender bias means consistently responding differently to male and female students without having sound educational reasons for doing so. Research shows that gender bias does occur. This is probably related to traditional gender-role stereotypes, embraced by the prevailing culture that accepts impulsive and unruly behavior from boys and expects orderliness and obedience from girls.
