What is "level of service" and describe the varying service levels retailers may provide.
What will be an ideal response?
Level of service refers to amount of care and attention the retailer provides the consumer. Retailers may elect to provide some combination of self-service, full service, or limited service. Self-service requires customers to perform certain tasks on their own in order to save time or money; full-service retailers commonly seek to assist customers through every step of the shopping process; and limited service falls somewhere in between the two extremes and would include the majority of retailers.
