Why does vitamin K not have an established UL?
What will be an ideal response?
To date, no Upper Level has been set for vitamin K. Although vitamin K can be stored in the liver and bone, storage is limited. Vitamin K also is more readily excreted than other fat-soluble vitamins. When used in its natural forms of phylloquinones or menaquinones, increased amounts of vitamin K have not caused harmful effects.
