Discuss the role of proxemics in relationship development

What will be an ideal response?

Often interpersonal relationships form because a person simply has more
opportunities to interact with some people than with others within the organizational
setting. The research on proxemics (the distance between ourselves and others) provides
a strong indication that we develop our friendships based on which individuals happen to
share our same space. In an organization, individuals are more likely to develop
relationships with people with whom they are in constant contact rather than with people
whom they seldom see or hear.
