You attended a seminar at your local community college on corporate social responsibility (CSR). The seminar discussed how to start the CSR process and the various levels or dimensions of CSR. What are these dimensions of CSR?

What will be an ideal response?

There are four dimensions of corporate social responsibility with the first level being the economic dimension. Companies have stakeholders, such as investors, suppliers, employees and the community, that expect the firm to generate profits. The legal dimension consists of the firm obeying the various federal, state and local laws. In the ethical dimension, the company needs to abide by the moral standards set by society. The last level is the philanthropic dimension. Here companies develop plans to give back to the community by donating a share of profits or other resources for the benefit of the communities it operates in.
