Probably highest on the list of PR skills is excellent writing
and oral communication skills. Since PR is all about communication, practitioners
must possess the skills to write for a variety of audiences as well as
communicate orally with the media and other publics. Good organizational skills
are also needed to organize and coordinate people, resources, logistics and
special events. Critical thinking is also useful in order to analyze problems and
opportunities facing the organization or client and to develop creative solutions to
problems. Excellent planning and time management skills are also required to
plan programs and activities, establish and monitor timelines and deadlines.
