How would saturated fats or trans fats adversely affect the function of the brain in addition to playing a role in the formation of beta-amyloid plaques?

Saturated fats and trans fats may increase the levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the bloodstream. This LDL can form deposits in the walls of the blood vessels, which can stiffen them and reduce the flow of blood through them. If an area of the brain does not receive adequate blood flow, the cells will not get an optimal supply of oxygen and glucose to function well.
